Leonardo Rama is a recent graduate of Physics Engineering by the University of Aveiro. He completed the 5-year MSc degree with a final grade of 17/20. His thesis, focused on improving energy efficiency of phased array antenna transmitter, was graded with 19/20. At the beginning of his studies, he was awarded a merit prize and scholarship, which are granted to the best students applying to the MSc program in Physics Engineering. During his time as student, Mr. Leonardo Rama participated in relevant extracurricular activities, including Engenius-UA formula student, where he expanded his knowledge in communications systems. Since November of 2023, Mr. Leonardo Rama has been a research fellow in Instituto Telecomunicações, within the scope of European Space Agency project PHOAM - Photonic Assisted Multibeam Phased Array Antenna - where he is involved in the design of a photonic beamformer in a monolithic photonic integrated circuit.
